check_box_1 A rarity! U.S. Army Vietnam Issue insect repellent, in clear plastic containers with a paper label attached, dated 1965. These were carried by every soldier in the field, often in the elastic band of their combat helmet for easy access. Just like the original P38 can openers (listed below under Vietnam War period military surplus),  which were routinely ‘tossed’ after use since they were so common at the time and taken for granted, the empty plastic insect repellent containers were also thrown away after use and forgotten- but try and find one 50 years later! These are brand new in unused condition and most of the containers actually contain some of their original repellent! A true collector’s item, rarely seen today.

Mint condition
